The beings known as Bot’os suddenly appeared on campus one day and being seen as harmless, were turned into this fun new game. Students picked it up quickly and began to play it in their free time against each other. Pick the student that best suits your playstyle and get ready to play G-MUYO!

This game was made for my Advanced Game Design class at GMU where the whole class had to make a game together over the semester based on a prompt given to us by the professor. I was on the Game Design team and helped to figure out some of the gameplay and details for the character Sophie (her combo animation and special) along with doing some QA testing.

I was also tasked with coming up with the story mode planned for the game, but was sadly scrapped not long after I finished writing it due to time constraints. A bit of the lore was kept in the game description though.

The story mode I wrote was a short arcade-style one with only a bit of dialogue before and after each fight except for the final fight. The original idea for the game was to have a secret fifth character, the Foodbot, available to be unlocked from beating one of the character’s story modes. The Foodbot character had their own alternate story mode telling a different tale.
